Can I add to the list of Horrible Fictional Things That Move When You Can’t See Them?
So there’s this series of fantasy novels known as The Dresden Files. In there is a demon who goes by the name of He Who Walks Behind. Once it’s started hunting you, it is always somewhere directly behind you. Even if you’re pressed up against a wall. The only way you’ll know it’s there is if you happen to see its reflection. Which is likely to be followed by it smiling and bisecting you in a blink.
Not exactly all that pleasant a fellow.
